Hello Bosses, last week’s little shake up in Atlanta city politics comes as no surprise. Politics is a long game and some of the players, wait for the right time to stroll in and walk away with victory. As you begin to look closer at the opponents in this long game of the 2021 Atlanta Mayoral race it is easy to see many telling signs in the beginning. 1. How many candidates are in the race or how few, that has more to do with one’s ego and the “I think I can do this job better” syndrome. 2. How few opponents are in the race; this is more about respect for the one’s whom have announced and the true knowing that they are the best person for the position.
Incumbent Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms, has withdrawn from the 2021 race after stating that she would mount a vigorous race for a second term after Felicia Moore’s announcement.

The registered candidates thus far Felicia Moore and six others have officially joined the Atlanta Mayoral Race 2021. Bosses, please do your Due Diligence and research the candidates to see if they share in your values, needs and wants for Atlanta and yourselves. There is a lot of announcing and very few qualifications being shown off during this time of candidate interviews. Candidates are raising money, interviewing and unabashedly smiling into the camera but so few are qualified to do the job. Everyone is not a Maynard Jackson but for anyone that has a fraction of the experience and integrity please step up, please do so immediately. Four years is a short time for a true, long game.
