Why… Savvy Advocate Commune

“Advocacy groups and voters are not wrong to push candidates to declare their position clearly on policy issues. That is good citizenship. Questions should be asked of every candidate, every politician. And those servants should be prepared to answer, but in their own words”. Mark McKinnon

The Savvy Advocate Commune…

Is for the resident who wants to participate in their neighborhood growth but does not know where to start other than joining an organization with too many gatekeepers and not enough community action. Let’s discuss how you can bring your particular set of skills to your community on your time and help create change. The bottom line is every tax-paying citizen must invest ninety minutes or more into their community and government per month. Be it attending a community or city meeting, most are online. Keeping abreast of local politics and what goes on at city hall, and at the state, and government level is our job, and using your voice to discuss any concerns you have with your elected hires is how you do it. Use your vote because we are their BOSSES and we must manage them. The events of the last four years have shown us this to be true.

Do you enjoy community advocacy?
Do you want to contribute to your community by using your particular set of skills?
Are you tired of the old tired community gatekeepers who never get anything done and do not want anyone else to do it, either?
