What aspects of your cultural heritage are you most proud of or interested in?
Every aspect of my culture is Pop Culture and are the truest American culture’s created. My African American Culture had been copied, stolen, reimagined as others and immolated around the world. I can remember being 7 years old with Afro puffs and a raised balled fist professing “Say it loud, I’m black and I am proud”. I have never wanted to be anyone other than me and I am a true reflection of my culture. Our food, dance, music, fashion, art, my upbringing, and how we love is like nothing else I have ever experienced. My culture is the most significant offering that America has to offer.
