Ace Warriors Attended The South East Environmental Justice Summit And It Was An Incredible Experience For These Future Leaders.

ACE Warriors, Pilot year was amazing with learning about clean energy and social justice and how teens fit into the picture. Can they help or prevent the changes? How do they go about doing it? How to train, learn and teach their community? ACE Warriors are teens ages 13-17 who live in utility-burden communities. and they are working hard to give voice to these challenges and teaching others to do so as well. Now that Atlanta and many organizations have helped to create the plan to create clean energy.
Funding is going into the communities that need it the most, communities of color with homes built before 1990. Organizations like Sustainable Georgia Futures SGF, Georgia Conservation Voters GCV and Metro Atlanta Clean Energy Collective MACEC, where several NPU Leaders serve, including me, are preparing in every way to make sure that residents’ homes are retrofitted and made energy efficient. ACE Warriors will play a great part in engaging communities across Atlanta about the Clean Energy program by sharing informational links for evaluations, contacts, and surveys. ACE will hold down the Educational area with “Think Tanks” on the Georgia Public Service Commission GPSC, how to “Build Your Voting Ballot” at home and do your “Due Diligence” and we are registering soon-to-be 18-year-olds to vote in the November election, join us on August 26th from 2 – 6 PM.
