Meet District 11 Candidates — Let’s Do Real Due Diligence Here.

Southwest Atlanta deserves leaders who can deliver on streets and safety, housing, small business vitality, and clean, well-kept neighborhoods. District 11 features 10 candidates this cycle. They are a mix of real estate pros, lawyers, pastors, a tech researcher, an entertainment manager, and longtime residents. These residents have witnessed seasons of neglect and resilience.

Titles don’t equal readiness. This is our moment to study each person’s record, plans, and team. Please don’t vote on name recognition or yard signs alone. Research them. Ask hard questions. Share what you find.

How to evaluate (fast):

Track record: What projects or policies have they led to completion? Receipts, not rhetoric.

Budget literacy: Can they explain how ATL’s budget works and where they’ll move dollars?

Housing & blight: Concrete plan for code enforcement, illegal dumping, and affordable housing near jobs/transit.

Public safety: A balanced plan—prevention, youth opportunity, environmental design, AND policing.

Small business corridor plan: Permitting help, storefront grants, and crime deterrence on commercial strips.

Infrastructure basics: Sidewalks, lighting, storm water, transit access—timelines and funding sources.

Ethics & transparency: Donors, potential conflicts, public calendars, and open community office hours.

Accessibility: Will they show up in our neighborhoods after Election Day?

Call to action:

Read each candidate’s platform. 2) Watch a forum. 3) Check donors. 4) Ask questions. 5) Share a summary with a neighbor.
